About Marquez HS

Linda Esperanza Marquez High School or simply Marquez High School is home of the Gladiators.  Marquez High School is a public choice high school in Huntington Park, California that is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).  Marquez High School opened in August 2012.  As a public choice high school the school site offers LIBRA Academy, Huntington Park Institute of Applied Medicine (HPIAM), and School of Social Justice (SSJ). Students, faculty, staff and parents are proud to be part of Marquez High School and to be a gladiator. 

Marquez schools are distinguished by their individuality academic incline as well as containing standards-based curriculum established by Los Angeles Unified School District.  LIBRA Academy provides opportunities to develop inter-personal growth and expand in liberal arts courses.  HPIAM provides opportunities to explore health and medical related careers and professions.  SSJ provides classes that focus on social events and social justice.  For more information please visit their home page by clicking on the school’s icon on our main page.

Each school within Marquez is house in one building but separated by floors.  Their gladiator spirit is evident on all their shared activities, such as all sports and special activities.  Please visit our athletics page for further details.  As a co-located school Marquez has the advantage to offer many supporting services to its students.  Those services include but not limited to enrollment, nursing services, school psychology services, special education, A-G requirements counseling, athletics, pupil and attendance counseling, psychiatric social services, college and career counseling, library and parent services.
